Welcome! I've been fascinated with the human body, energy, and movement since I was a child. My hobbies were astronomy, dance, and gymnastics. In my early 20s, I started experiencing debilitating fatigue and chronic pain. At that time, there was no diagnosis for my condition so I started researching the mind-body-spirit-energy connection. It made sense to me that there was more to healing than blood tests and pills so I branched out. I focused mostly on mind-body movement to eliminate the chronic pain and I modified my diet and food choices to manage the fatigue.
My passion is to share what I've learn with others. I do this by teaching people how to us their attention, imagery, and movement to bring increased health and happiness to their lives. I offer these somatic insights to people through clear explanations, metaphorical imagery, and vibrant felt experiences. My credentials: I began studying mindbody movement and healing techniques 18 years ago. In my quest for health, I studied the efficacy of mindbody methods in college and obtained a BA degree in Medical Anthrolopolgy from UC Irvine. Convinced by my own experiences in mindbody movement methods, I've earned several credentials and continue my studies in the following:
I offer classes and private sessions in the Franklin Method, the Feldenkrais Method, BodyTalk, and Personal Energy Management
Franklin Method classes focus on using imagery, metaphor, and movement to uncover healthy movement and being in your body as well as peace of mind. It is a type of moving meditation. I use simple, clear, interesting example to help you experience YOUR BODY and also to realize the connection how of you feel in your body is completely affected by what your are thinking and picturing in your mind.
Feldenkrais private sessions and classes include slow movements that direct your attention to the subtlies and connections in movement and is EXCELLENT for building body awareness and increasing sensation in your body.
Personal Energy Management classes include focusing on your energetic self as well as your chakras.
