How does it work?

The BodyTalk system recognizes that within each of us there lies the innate knowing of who we are and what makes our bodies work. This innate wisdom carries the answers to our health care issues and is addressed in the following way.

  1. The BodyTalk System facilitates communication with the innate wisdom of the body by using neuromuscular biofeedback.

  2. By following a comprehensive protocol of questions, the BodyTalk practitioner can establish exactly what balancing the body needs in order to harmonize bodymind function. This involves finding out which organs, endocrines, or body parts need to be connected to heal communication between them at the physiological, biochemical, circulatory, nervous, emotional and/or energy levels.

  3. When an imbalance is found the areas are simply contacted by the person and/or practitioner's hands. While the links are being held, the practitioner gently taps on the head, and then over the heart complex. The act of tapping on the head enables innate to register these links in the brain, which enhances the overall integral functioning and intercommunication within the body. The act of tapping over the heart complex enables innate to store the memory of these links.

  4. In this way, the innate wisdom and healing function inherent in the body is enhanced on all levels—physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

What is a BodyTalk session like?

Each BodyTalk session is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. You'll lie on a comfortable table (you can wear your normal clothes for your BodyTalk session). Then, I use a type of biofeedback by lightly pressing on your arm and ask questions to discover what your body's has prioritized for healing. Once all of the areas that need restored communication are clear, then I'll lightly tap on your head and sternum to balance and restore the communication.
